View of the stage, lighting tower and crowd at the Australian Festival of Progressive Music at Myponga, SA, 30 & 31 January, 1 February 1971. The Myponga Festival was held on the Australia Day long weekend over three days from 30 January to 1 February 1971 and was compered by Adrian Rawlins. Performers included Black Sabbath, and Australian groups Daddy Cool, Spectrum, and Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs. South Australian bands included War Machine and Fat Angel. According to the Sunday Mail 30 January 1971, an estimated 10,000 attended the festival. |
